Since 1997 there have been 241 Missouri public school teachers that have had their teaching licenses revoked for "Sexual Misconduct with a Child". This workshop is designed to help administrators identify the signs of an educator who may potentially gravitate toward a student. Research for this program included interviewing six Missouri sex offenders who were teachers and are currently in prison or on probation/ parole. An update regarding legal issues for schools in responding to sexual predators will conclude this session.
